A Disney vacation is just not complete without a full sampling of the Disney World Dining options available.

With well over 100 eateries to choose from, there is literally something for everyone – regardless of taste or budget.

From dinner shows to character meals, to the quick snack grabbed on the way to a park in the morning, dining at Disney World is an event in itself.

In fact, many people plan their whole vacation around the various fun-filled dining options!

Nailing down the dining portion of your vacation plan is one of the most important steps in the Disney vacation planning process. I urge you to thoroughly research and carefully select your meals well in advance of your vacation.

Table service reservations (ADRs) can and should be made months in advance using the following numbers:

Before we get to the various restaurants, let’s discuss the different Disney World Dining Plans. When you book a Disney World Vacation Package, you are given the option to add on one of the popular Dining Plans.

Opting for one of these plans allows you to have an almost all-inclusive Disney vacation. Most or all of your meals and snacks will be paid for before your trip, thus eliminating much of the worry for the budget-minded diner while adding tremendous convenience for many others.

But while the Dining Plans are very convenient, they may not always be a good deal. When evaluating the economical benefit of a Disney Dining Plan, you need to consider the ages and eating habits of the people in your traveling party, especially the kids. The plans are not really worth it for a child between the ages of 10 and 12 who doesn’t eat much but is considered an adult by Disney when it comes to dining prices. Note that the plans are always a good deal for kids 9 and under.

Another all important aspect of Disney World Dining is the reservation process. Disney uses what is called an ADR or Advanced Dining Reservation system. Be sure that you fully understand this process and to take full advantage of the booking procedures well in advance of your vacation, regardless if you are staying at a DIsney-owned Resort or offsite at one of the many Orlando Hotels.

It would be a terrible shame to arrive at Disney World only to find out that you can’t get into any of the restaurants! Check out these reservation tips to ensure you get the seatings you want.

Okay, we are finally ready to take a look at all the fun Disney World dining options!

Below you will find a list of various categories or Disney dining experiences. Each restaurant at Disney World falls into one of these seven areas:

When I am planning a Disney vacation, I like to use the Disney Vacation Plan spreadsheet mentioned in the Step-by-Step Planning Guide. After I have determined which park I will visit on each day, I then try to plan out the daily dining options.

Having the restaurants listed by park is a tremendous help. So, below you will find individual lists of the dining choices for each separate theme park and water park. I hope this helps in your restaurant selection!

Park Dining:

Maybe it would be more helpful to see the restaurants listed in one of these ways:

  • Dining listed by Resort
  • Dining listed by Cuisine
  • Dining listed by pricing scale

Or, if you are considering a Disney World Dining Plan, the following categories are most useful:

  • Table Service Restaurants
  • Quick or Counter Service Restaurants
  • Snack Locations

If you or anyone in your traveling party has a food allergy or special dietary restrictions, the Disney World dining folks will be more than happy to assist in your dining planning. When you make you ADRs be sure to have the Cast Member make a special note stating that there is a special diet or allergy issue. They may also suggest that you speak directly with the head chef of the particular restaurant you have chosen. For a complete listing of the contact information for table-service locations, please visit the Disney Dining Directory.

When it comes to dining, make the most of your Disney vacation! Splurge. Try something new and different. Go to a dinner show or take the kids to fun-filled dinner at one of the many themed restaurants! Yes, you will certainly enjoy a great meal, but more importantly, your Disney World Dining experiences will create memories that will last a lifetime!
